Two men injured in Saturday evening DWI crash near Carthage

A crash on County Road 110, five miles northeast of Carthage just before six p.m. on Saturday injured two men, one seriously.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says the driver is now charged with DWI.

The crash happened when a northbound passenger car went off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert.

The driver, 28-year-old Colton F. Jones of Granby, was seriously injured.

Colton F. Jones was charged with a Felony DWI involving injury, failure to display valid plates, failure to drive on the right side of the roadway and driving with no seatbelt.

Passenger 60-year-old Curtis L. Jones of Carthage suffered moderate injuries.

Both men were transported to a Joplin hospital for treatment.
